About Barranco
- A bohemian, photogenic neighborhood. Stay near Parque Municipal, San Martín, or Bajada de Baños to be steps from murals, terraces, and the Bridge of Sighs. It's more of a nightlife district than Miraflores: Friday/Saturday expect music until late — if you want quiet, look for rooms on interior streets away from the bars. Great for walking by day; at night take an app and avoid long stretches on poorly lit streets. Fewer large supermarkets — small shops and ATMs are around Parque Municipal and Av. Grau. Quick connection to the boardwalk and to Miraflores via the upper road (15–25 min by app). Streets have slopes and cobblestones: wear comfortable shoes.
